Things To Keep In Mind When Using The Casper Area Transportation Coalition

The Casper Area Transportation Coalition offers lift equipped buses for just Dial-A-Ride service, discussed later. Not eating or drinking on the bus nor raising heck helps keep the buses clean and peaceful for other riders.

It’s also wise to be at your bus stop at least five minutes early since there’s only one pick-up per hour, because with all my experience using public transportation in various cities, I can tell you the bus or subway drivers generally pass by between five minutes early and only five minutes late on their fixed routes.

The Routes

Buses run once an hour, beginning at half past each hour, along each of the four city routes, known by colors: The Blue (covers Central and East Central parts of this Wyoming city), Green (covers the North and Central Casper), Red (goes along Central and Southeast parts of the city), and Yellow (covers South Central and West Casper).

Two outlying routes exist. The Purple Route leaves at 58 minutes after each hour from the CY Wal-Mart, and covers some parts of Northwest Casper as well as two towns near the city called Mills and Mountain View. The Orange Route covers East Casper and the town of Evansville, Wyoming, and leaves the Eastridge Mall at 10 minutes to the hour. The routes carry passengers to or near many of the main shopping centers, schools, residential neighborhoods, hospitals, government and professional offices, Casper College, etc.

The CATC website offers a comprehensive online guide and approximate timetable for all the scheduled stops of the Casper Area Transportation Coalition here.
